It does sound as if your dog won't last very long at all without treatment, so you are left with the unhappy choice of chancing surgery or euthanizing. She's on three kinds of meds right now but still has laboured breath sometimes. We get the results tomorrow but I'm just hoping that I go the right direction. Any knowledge to know if this is a few day, few weeks or few months to live? But I just don't want to get tossed around. But then again i'm so hesistant too... What else could we do... I walked him downstairs to see if he could confirm what I'd already feared as true. He sent her home with antibiotics and there is no change at all. But I want him to be better not worse. Vet asked about injury where maybe he would have bleeding from a hernia. And is it in his best interest? Well what if we did the catscan to find cancer.. Our Banjo was getting extremely skinny and our son asked me to bring him to the vet. Thanks so much *hugs* My vet has yet still to call us with the results. :( I hate making decisions... Certainly your dog is very ill right now, but this needn't be the end just yet.
